The Milan Garden of the Righteous
dedicated to the Righteous worldwide
On 24 January 2003 the Garden of the Righteous Worldwide was inaugurated in an area of "Monte Stella" park in Milan. It is managed by an association created for the purpose by Milan City Hall together with Union of the Italian Jewish Communities and Gardens of the Righteous Worldwide Committee-Gariwo.
Over the years we have honoured exemplary figures of moral resistance relating to Rwanda, Latin America, Bosnia and Europe torn by Nazism and Communism. We also honoured Tunisian, Russian and Iranian figures.
