The Milan Garden of the Righteous

dedicated to the Righteous worldwide

The city of Milan saw the inauguration – on January 24, 2003 at Monte Stella – of an area dedicated to the Righteous of all Nations.
The first three trees were planted as a tribute to Moshe Bejski, Pietro Kuciukian and Svetlana Broz, founders of the Gardens of the Righteous in Jerusalem, Yerevan and Sarajevo.

Each year a commission formed of high-profile figures, with no political, religious or ethnic agenda, will decide for whom the new trees are to be planted.
The aim of the Gardens of the Righteous Worldwide is to honour those outstanding men and women of all nations who fight to safeguard the principles of humanity and the defence of truth that have guided the Righteous in all their attempts to oppose evil.
